1864 Confederate States of America $50 Note – A Collectible Treasure

Description

1864 Confederate States of America $50 note from Richmond Virginia classified as T-66. Dated February 17, 1864, the obverse displays a bust of Jefferson Davis at the center and the denomination on either side. The elaborate reverse is in blue with the denomination in text “Fifty”  and numerals 50 on each corner. Certified PCGS as “About New” 53 PPQ.. PPQ stand for “Premium Paper Quality”.

Many Confederate bills are one sided, the reverse is blank. This one is not and has a blue theme. Cut a bit off on the bottom and has a portion of the next bill visible.(These were cut by hand)
