This 1907 note designated 1907 $5 United States Legal Tender ‘Wood Chopper’ Fr.#91 is a stunning piece of American numismatic history. The vignette of :”The Wood Chopper” and it’s elaborate reverse sets this bill apart from others of its era.

The obverse central vignette is of a man with an axe, a woman and a dog thus it is nicknamed the “Chopper”. A bust of Alexander Hamilton graces the left bottom corner and it is signed Speelman and White.
