Description
This Colonial Pennsylvania Note, dated May 1, 1758, is a piece of historical currency from the colonial era of American history. The twenty shilling note features intricate engravings and designs in balck and red inks that are characteristic of the time period, representing the craftsmanship and artistry of early American currency. Featuring three distinct signatures, this note is a rare and valuable piece of history that provides a glimpse into the economic and financial system of Colonial Pennsylvania. It has been folded at it’s center and is fragile in that area but we find no pinholes, tears or repairs. Flecks of mica can be seen inbedded in the paper as an anti-counterfeitting measure.
Signatures – Reynold Keen, Benjamin Marshall and Joseph Pemberton all in black ink
Serial Number – 3438
