Selling a collection or just one piece requires knowledge of the market, an outlet and a buyer…We provide the first two and search diligently for the third. We offer professional consignment services for coin and/or currency collections, ensuring a seamless process for owners wishing to sell while maximizing value through our extensive network and participation in local and national coin shows. We find the best outlet is face to face sales at shows or expositions, both local and national. We rent space at a minimum of three each month and sell and purchase to or from collectors and other dealers. National shows are a costly, time consuming enterprise and we will do two or three annually. These attract thousands of collectors from across the nation and usually last three days.

Each piece will be examined and evaluated. Some coins or notes may require grading to receive the best possible price and also to protect them for future generations.
We keep submission privileges at the companies to the right which are the major firms. A decision must be made on which one to submit to. This depends on the coin or note being evaluated and is an important facet we can assist with.
Grading is not an inexpensive procedure and decisions must be made on each. Is this coin or note worth spending more on?

Counterfeiting has been a problem since the first use of money and continues in many forms. Online auction venues teem with fakes. Fake US paper money can be purchased online which is said to pass muster in ATM’s and fool most people and machines. We advise not to try this. It is a federal crime.
We assist with this by experience. Mistakes have been made in the past and we have learned from them. Sigma Metalytics precious metal verifier will be used on suspect gold, silver and platinum coin. Bill detector for notes, not a pen. We don’t want to mark a bill and ruin much of it’s value to a collector. Jewelry we take a pass on.
One avenue of counterfeits collectible and legal to own would be contemporary Confederate States notes from the Civil War era. Not modern souvenirs or facsimiles but those made during the early 1860’s. Produced by private business men, these were sold in bulk during that period and caused headaches and inflation for the Confederate states economy. It is not known whether the Union government was involved in counterfeiting or distribution although this is a common strategy during wartime. An informative video by Pierre Fricke, author and well known expert on the issue is available here(approximately 45 minutes in length); video
