1917 Type 1 Standing Liberty Error ANACS MS61FH

Description

A 1917 Type 1 Standing Liberty Error, ANACS MS61FH is struck on a cracked planchet. Dark toning gives it a aged and worn appearance at distance but it’s details are sharp. SLQ errors are few and far between and demand high prices when one is fortunate enough to find one. Graded MS61 with a full head which I do agree with (although my respect for this grading outfit has gone into the garbage, a story for another day) and the split is plain between K4 and K5. An unusual find for an error afficiando.
