Description

1863 Indian Head Civil War Token F93-366 – Not One Cent. Surfaces a bit rough with a bit of verdigris. Indian princess on the obverse witth beaded headdress and a ribbon with four diamonds. Date is underneath the androgynous indian head. Reverse  is circled with a wreath with bundle of arrows at base and Not One Cent center. Struck a bit off the center of the planchet.  

The F93/366 refers to the die pairs used as many different combinations were used by private die sinkers on these 19th century tokens. The F stands for Fuld, the man who studied and wrote a huge volume on the different Civil War era tokens.

Non graded copper. Cent sized, approximate 19.5 diameter
