This 1853 Silver Three Cent Piece, also known as a Trime, is a beautiful and rare addition to any coin collection. The coin is in choice AU condition, which means it is nearly uncirculated and has retained much of its original luster. The obverse features a star and shiels, while the reverse showcases a large C with the roman numeral III. They were the first circulating U.S. coin without a depiction of Miss Liberty in some form or other. This particular coin was minted in Philadelphia and is composed of 75% silver and 25% copper.
